Workshop Overview
A one on one workshop filled with helpful tips and information about taking sharp, crisp, and professional looking portraits outdoors.
There's nothing compared to the feeling of having just taken a photo that you thought only pros could take. And with a little guidance, you will be able to take exactly those photos.
Workshop Outline
We will meet at our studio and review your equipment before heading out around town for about two hours.
While you take photos of your friends, we will talk about the following topics:
- Lens choice & camera settings
- Soft light portraits
- Using harsh, mid-day sun light
- Natural reflections & diffusers
- Professional reflectors & diffusers
- The background: size, blur, brightness
- Taking candid photos of people
- Posing your subjects
After we are done taking photos, we wi'll go back to our studio to review the photos and see the difference between poses, backgrounds, types of light, etc.
Requirements
We highly recommend that you take our Digital Camera Class first. Other than that, all you need is your dSLR camera (battery charged, empty memory card) and a friend who likes having his/her picture taken.
Payment & Discounts
The workshop is $150 plus registration fees. If you have a friend that owns a digital SLR camera and wants to take the workshop with you, we we offer a $25 discount per person.
You will take portraits of the same subject and then compare your photos to see which settings, angle, lens, or type of light looks best.
All sales are final. Should you be in special circumstances that make it impossible for you to attend your workshop, we will work with you to make sure you can take the workshop at another time.

You will be asked to provide us with your availability during checkout. Shortly after we receive the registration confirmation email, we will contact you to set up the day/time of your workshop.
Our schedule is flexible and we are available both in during weekdays (mornings, afternoons, evenings) and some weekends.

Instructor
Your teacher will be Titus Bartos (pronounced 'Tee-toos'). He is a Romanian born professional photographer with extensive experience in portrait photography.
Titus loves teaching and has a passion for helping others understand and enjoy photography more. He has taught hundreds of students how to be better photographers and have more confidence when taking photos.
